Facebook’s Instant Articles to get content from more publishers, says a report on The Wall Street Journal.
A month ago, the Social Network introduced the new feature.
Instant Articles are news stories published by News Companies. They will be displayed on the top of your News Feed. By doing this, Facebook is ensuring that users do not leave its Website, to search for news.
The important bit here is that the news stories are published directly in the News Feed, and not on the publisher’s website. In exchange for this, Facebook is letting companies keep all of thei revenue from ads sold by publishers, and keeps 30% for itself if Facebook sells [...]
Last week, we reported that Facebook would be partnering with news companies to bring full news articles, videos to its website’s News Feed.
Today, the company has officially announced Facebook Instant Articles.
Facebook Instant Articles load much faster than regular content. According to the social network it takes 8 seconds to load stories that people share on the website. Instant Articles load ten times faster, than those standard mobile web articles.
