The photo editing apps iPhoto and Aperture are no longer available at the Mac App Store.
Apple has officially removed both the apps on Friday.
Even though you cannot download them anymore, you can continue using them if you have them installed on your machines. But it is unlikely that the apps will be updated in the future.
If you are wondering why this is happening, let me explain further. Last week, the Cupertino company released an update for its operating system called OS X Yosemite 10.10.3. One of the main features of the update was the Photos App. The new Photos application is the replacement for both iPhoto and Aperture apps.
