Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan sees 25% users upgrading to it in just a month

Apple released Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan on September 30, 2015.

And users have been upgrading to the new version of the operating system, like never before.

About 25% of all Mac users have already updated their machines to Mac OS X 10.11 El Capitan. If you are wondering how the Cupertino company could achieve such a huge accomplishment in just 31 days, the logic is simple. Unlike Windows which runs on PCs with uniquely different hardware configurations, and has various editions of the operating system, Apple’s OS is not so fragmented.

If you are wondering why this is happening, let me explain further. Last week, the Cupertino company released an update for its operating system called OS X Yosemite 10.10.3. One of the main features of the update was the Photos App. The new Photos application is the replacement for both iPhoto and Aperture apps.

Apple announced [...]

Apple has released the OS X Yosemite 10.10.3 update for all users.

The update had been in beta for a while, and marks the official debut of the new Photos app.

The Photos app was originally announced at the WWDC (Worldwide Developers Conference) in June 2014, but has only been made available almost a year later.

The Photos app will allow you to browse through your photo albums easily through various tabs (Photos, Shared, Albums, and Projects) and viewing options (Moments, Collections, and Years) .
