Skype faces service outage worldwide, and this appears to be the only workaround

It’s not just you, Microsoft owned VOIP service, Skype is suffering from an outage.

Just head over to www.skype.com or web.skype.com and login with your existing id.

You will be greeted with the following message, the first time you sign-in to Skype for Web beta.

Once you sign-in, you will find that it already has all the conversations and your contacts ready, so can start using Skype right [...]

Ever wished you could access Skype from your desktop browser? Now you can do so. Just head over to Skype.com or web.skype.com, and sign in to use the service in your browser. It isn’t actually a new project from Redmond, Skype for Web was announced way back in November [...]
