The Skype for Windows 10 Insider Update has been released for testers. The latest version brings several new options which could change the way users use the app. The interface is now more user-friendly for accessing the list of contacts. Skype calls have some new features which you can use to improve the calling experience. The first of this is the flexible group call canvas. Basically, this allows you to customize the calling screen to decide who appears in the canvas’ main area. To do this, you can drag and drop the people’s portraits from the overflow ribbon on to the call canvas, and the app will focus on the selected person.

Popular VOIP service Skype, has been having its ups and downs lately.
Recently, it was reported that the app was causing messages to appear out of order.
That is, the messages were being displayed in random order, with the ones you texted being displayed above newer ones. The Skype community was flooded with complaints about the same. This led to a community moderator from Skype, acknowledging the presence of the issue, and suggesting a workaround.

Last week, it was found that the Skype for Windows desktop app, had a rather annoying bug.
Instead of displaying the messages in their chronological order, the app displayed them in incorrect order, often putting the ones which you just sent above older messages.
While not every user was affected by this, one user reported the bug at the official Skype forums, and it was soon acknowledged by the VOIP service. A Skype community manager said there were many reports where users had experienced the same issue, and that it only affected Skype 7.17.0.105. Skype, the popular VOIP service, now under the Microsoft banner, seems to have a new issue affecting some users.
A month ago, Skype messed up big time, with a major outage all over the World.
Microsoft later apologised for the downtime, and even offered some free Skype credit for affected users, in a bid to compensate for the issue.
And now it appears to be earning the ire of users with a new issue present in the current version of its Windows app, Skype 7.17, which was released earlier this month, is the one in question.
