Twitter may allow users to write Tweets with as many as 10000 characters, from March 2016

Twitter could be changing the way you use its social network, and soon.

The website is reportedly considering to remove its 140 character limit in tweets, and replace it with a 10000 character limit.

That is actually the limit it already has for Direct Messages, a change which happened last year.

Twitter’s selling feature are its Tweets, to be precise the 140 character ones, which has been place since the website was launched. It is after all, a micro-blogging website, more than a social network. The bit sized news in Tweets is what made Twitter, what it is now.

Twitter for Mac app 4.0.0 update brings a Dark Theme, Inline Videos, GiFs and more

Twitter has released a new update for its official app, for Mac OS X.

Twitter for Mac now supports inline video playback, thus allowing users to play videos in tweets, directly within the app directly in your feed. And GIFs [...]

This is the first major update for the app in nearly two months.

Back in October, Twitter added support for using multiple accounts in the app, enabled Inline Videos, which displays and plays videos within the app). However, the more important addition was support for Creating Lists, using which you can follow various twitter accounts, in a self-curated and organized list as per your preference.

When the social networking previously removed the character limit in Direct Messages on the website, it took a month for the same change to arrive in the app [...]

Twitter for Windows 10 now supports multiple accounts, curating lists, inline videos

Twitter launched its official app for Windows 10 a few months ago, much to the surprise of users.

That’s because the social network had never updated its app for Windows 8, in like forever.

But even though the new app was good, it did have some major drawbacks. For starters, it did not support one great feature of Twitter, Lists.

In case you aren’t aware what they are, Twitter lists are user created set of accounts, whose Tweets which the user wants to read without following the accounts, or make categories of various similar accounts in a genre, e.g: Tech, News, etc, using which you can read Tweets quickly without the hassle of going over your [...]
