Windows 10 Build 10525, was released a couple of days ago to the members of the Fast Ring of the Windows Insider Program.
We initially expected a fix from Microsoft, since Chrome works on all other versions of Windows. But now, it appears that a resolution will arrive from Google.
One of the developers at the Chromium project, on with Chrome is based, replied to the bug report thread at the Google support forums, acknowledging the issue.

Microsoft launched Windows 10 Build 10525 yesterday.
It happens to be the first preview build of the operating system, since Windows 10 was launched on July 29th.
Even though it isn’t much of an upgrade, it adds some new features like customizing the color of the Start Menu, Taskbar, Action Center and more. But there is something beyond that, which users didn’t anticipate.
What was thought to be a build which fixes bugs, instead caused a new one. And it is a massive bug. Windows 10 Build 10525 breaks the functionality of Google Chrome. The browser refuses to launch, and crashes immediately after you click on the icon to launch it.

This is the first preview build, released after the launch of the final build of Windows 10.
Windows 10 Build 10240, which is the current stable build available for all users, was the last Preview Build of the operating system, released to Insiders. It was released a few days before the final build of Windows 10, was rolled out on July 29th.
