Microsoft is reportedly resorting to aggressive tactics, to roll put the Windows 10 upgrade.
The Redmond company launched its new operating system about two and a half months ago, at the end of July, and is offering it as a free upgrade for eligible Windows 7, 8/8.1 users until the end of July 2016.
Users were originally asked to reserve for the upgrade, and cancel the reservation at any time. But now, some Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 users are claiming that they are unable to opt-out of the free upgrade offer.
And it actually gets worse, some users are finding that there is absolutely no way to cancel the upgrade, and so the only way out is a temporary [...]
Microsoft is officially launching Windows 10 tomorrow, after several months of testing the preview builds of the operating system.
The upgrade to Windows 10, is free for Windows 7, 8 and 8.1 users with a genuine license of Windows, as long as they upgrade to 10m within a year.
After which, the systems will continue to get Windows Updates for the lifetime of the device.

In preparation for this it had released an optional Windows Update, for Windows 7 and 8.1 computers.
This update recently activated an app called the GWX (Get Windows 10), which asked users with a genuine license of Windows 7 and 8, to reserve their free upgrade to Windows 10. Initially, it was believed that Microsoft would roll out the final build of the operating system to all users just like Windows Updates.

A couple of days ago, AMD’s CEO Lisa Su, spilled the beans that Microsoft would be releasing Windows 10 in late July.
We already reported many times, about how the Redmond company is offering Windows 10 as a free upgrade to PCs running on Windows 7 and 8.1.
A few weeks ago, Microsoft released an optional patch for Windows 7 and 8.1 PCs, which installed a silent downloader for Windows 10. The KB3035583 update is believed to download Windows 10 once it is released, in July.
